Mithila Ballal is a Bharathanatyam dancer who provides Therapy and Counselling Services in the Peterborough area. She works as a dance/movement therapist with different populations that have mental health issues such as autism, trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss. She is a registered psychotherapist and an Expressive Arts Therapist who graduated from CREATE Institute. She enjoys full time private practice with students, adolescents and adults in person and over video.
She also runs a dance school Ukti – Centre for Movement and Arts. She has been part of the Precarious3 artist residency and is a board member for Public Energy and the Dance/Movement Therapy Association of Canada.

She has full time private practice working with children, adolescents and adults in person and over video. She also provides Supervision for Expressive Arts Therapists and students. She has extensive experience working with complex disabilities and incorporating elements from her Indigenous background into her work. She has a private practice in Barrie, ON and is available for virtual sessions as well. She uses a client-centred approach to her work and is open to all modalities of expression and creative healing.
